Currently Loving | July 2019

29th July 2019 by Sarah Leave a Comment

I realised yesterday that it has been almost a year since my last Currently Loving post! Where has the time gone? To make up for it and sneak in before the actual year, here is my currently loving for July 2019.

My currently loving posts are just a space for me to share (and you to nosy at) some of the products, apps and other goodies which are either making my life easier or generally a bit more fun at the moment. I am sticking with some themes to help keep me on track. So without delay, here is my currently loving for the merry month of July!

Currently Loving

I have to admit that it is a bit of a mixed bag this month with things for the cats as well as for me. It is good though as it shows the weird and wonderful variety of things we have in out home.

App: Clue

I have recently upgraded my phone and one thing I love about doing it is being able to cull the apps I have on there, but simply don’t use. It really goes to show me which ones I can’t do without, one of which is Clue. Clue is a really cool period tracking app, which gives insights into female health. I share my data with the organisation so that they can feed into the science and help other women in the future.

I have used a few period tracking apps in the past, but this one is certainly the most down to earth and clean of them all. You can customise the features/symptoms you experience and also subscribe for greater insights into your cycle. I have been using it for so long now that I can see my patterns without paying, but I am not ruling it our that I won’t in the future.

You can find out more about Clue, the team and some great articles about sex, periods and health over on their website.

Product: CatIt Play Puzzle Feeder

Some might say that my moggies are spoiled and I would wholeheartedly agree! They got a puzzle treat feeder sometime last year. I have since been making it part of our fun time to have a some fun with the snack feeder. I have found that it has been a great way to do some brain training with them as well as fun and games.

CatIt create some really good products for cats and I am certainly a fan. I will be reviewing them in more details in the newly formed lifestyle part of my blog so keep your eyes peeled! You can find out more about the puzzle feeder here.

Food/Drink: Yogi Tea Choco

I have been enjoying more herbal teas during the day (yes, even when it has been roasting outside!) and one of my long time favourites is Yogi Choco. It is like a light version of hot chocolate with the added deliciousness of spices. I do love it with a dash of vanilla rice milk too, for that more luxurious feel to it.

I grab my Yogi Tea at Holland and Barrett in town, because they have an excellent selection. I also enjoy the little words of wisdom you get in the teabag tag. (you’ll have seen photos of them on Instagram, I am sure!)

Tech: Go Pro Hero 7 Black

You might remember that I attended the ‘This is My Way’ launch event at Blacks last year, where I joined in with the competitions and met some amazing ladies. Well, from that event, I won the £300 shopping spree which I entered on the evening. As I pretty much have everything I need I decided to put the winnings towards a treat for myself. And that treat turned out to be a Go Pro Hero 7 Black.

Since getting my hands on this little camera, I have been really enjoying making some Micro Vlogs of our trips and experiences, which you can usually check out on Instagram Stories, a sneak peek on Twitter and the full thing on YouTube.

Travel Essentials: Buff Pack Run Cap

This was one of the most valuable pieces of travel kit I took to Berlin recently. Not only is it super packable, it also wicks away sweat and keeps the sun out of my eyes. At a minimum of 39C, it got a very good test.

I am in the process of reducing my travel kit to make it smaller easier to transport and this certainly make things easier because I didn’t have to worry about squashing the peak while stuffing my pack. They are pretty dear at around £27, but think that they will last a long time (as my other Buff products have) This Buff Pack Run cap will be going the distance with me, that’s for sure.

Book: The Great British Bucket List

If you follow me over on my social media channels you will know that I absolutely love a good day trip to somewhere new. In fact, a day trip to anywhere! This book is technically not mine as I bought it for Jit for his birthday, but I have been enjoying dipping into it while seeking new places to visit.

In out mission to visit loads of places at weekends, The Great British Bucket List is proving to be an excellent source of inspiration!

Clothing: Vivo Barefoot Stealth II Men’s

While we were in Berlin, my Merrell Barefoot shoes came to the end of their life, leaving me with some rather sore feet. Luckily there was a Vivo Barefoot store just around the corner from our Airbnb, which came to the rescue.

My recent issues with Merrell barefoots and the reduction in quality, I have been on the hunt for a replacement which comfortably fit my super wide feet and last for over 1,000 miles. I did the size check on Vivo’s website and have since been able to get myself three pairs for all eventualities. I am definitely a super fan now, that’s for sure. The Vivo Stealth II Men’s are the ones I got this time.

Currently Loving July 2019

So there you have my currently loving for July 2019. I do have some other bits I would love to include, but might just save them for next month instead – see if I can make a series out of these posts…don’t hold your breath! But for now, over to you…

What are you currently loving? Are you loving anything the same as me?

Let me know in the comments!
