Springtime in Macclesfield Forest

30th March 2017 by Sarah 12 Comments

It was International Day of Forests last week and so our weekend of course wouldn’t be complete without visiting a forest. So we decided to (finally) head down to Macclesfield Forest.  The reason I say finally is because we have been looking over at it for years when we walk Teggs Nose Country Park, but have never made it over to the other side of the reservoirs.

As it has been a while since I made and shared a video of one of our Outside Adventures, I thought I would share Macclesfield Forest as one.  I will, of course, also share a regular post with you too, but thought that this would be a good way to quickly inspire you as we near the weekend!

If you’re out that way and have a lot of time, you could always head over to Teggs Nose too – well worth a visit if only for the views!  Or if you’re more towards Frodsham, you might fancy taking in Delamere Forest instead…

I’ll be back soon with more from Macclesfield Forest!

Hello wanderer!

Manchester based outdoor and travel writer UK

I’m a writer and urban explorer who’s written for Lonely Planet (England and Experience England). The Urban Wanderer is where I share slow travel, city walks, food, cats, and the everyday adventures found close to home. I believe the outdoors isn’t only in the countryside — it’s in the streets, parks, corners and communities we live in.

Come wander with me, one small discovery at a time.
