Wanders of the Week #3

12th December 2016 by Sarah 1 Comment

This week has seen the weather change from chilly and brisk, misty and frosty to warm and drizzly.  My Wanders of the Week have continued no matter what the weather and as always here is my compilation video to inspire you to get outside too.

You will have noticed that the sky has been some fantastic colours lately (well, perhaps not on Saturday when it was a bit grey and drizzly) so it has been more than enough encouragement to get out there and see it first hand.  This weekend I even chose the sky as the theme for the Weekly Photowalk Challenge.  Which I did get a bit nervous about when it was chucking it down on Saturday!  But all was well when the clouds cleared on Sunday to reveal the most magical skies!

Wanders of the week

This weeks wanders has sen me exploring Manchester (obviously!), Tatton and Knutsford, Ancoats, the Rochdale Canal and around the Printworks.  It all tots up to a pretty decent 61.62 miles for the week.

Oh yeah and if you checked out last week’s post you will know that my knee was having a bit of a grumble.  Well, I’m pleased to say that it has resolved itself with a bit of strapping some cold morning insulation and a bit of desk sitting position changing.  It is pretty much right as rain again.  Thanks for all the well wishes, too, I’m sure they helped it recover quicker 🙂

Workweek Hustle

This week I have been invited to the ‘Workweek Hustle’ on Fitbit, so I am determined to get even more wanders of the week in. It is going to be a bit of a challenge with getting everything ready for the Christmas holidays but I am sure I’ll make the time!

Get outside and enjoy the fresh air adventures!

Hello wanderer!

Manchester based outdoor and travel writer UK

I’m a writer and urban explorer who’s written for Lonely Planet (England and Experience England). The Urban Wanderer is where I share slow travel, city walks, food, cats, and the everyday adventures found close to home. I believe the outdoors isn’t only in the countryside — it’s in the streets, parks, corners and communities we live in.

Come wander with me, one small discovery at a time.
