I probably mentioned in my post about celebrating Yorkshire Day that I would be sharing a video of the day too. If not, ta-dah! What a nice surprise.
The 1st August 2017 was the first time I was celebrating Yorkshire Day. Judging by this one, I am sure that it won’t be the last either. Setting off from Leeds station with my gorgeous white rose pinned to my bag, we set out on our adventure.
It was so funny how a couple joining us got asked whether they were going to a wedding. A bemused passenger spotted their roses and uncharacteristic wedding attire and couldn’t resist asking. To be honest, it was the perfect way to share about celebrating Yorkshire Day as well as starting some conversations. Anyway, I digress.
We began the day with music. Live music, in fact, on the platform! Now that’s how a celebration should begin! And that’s where my video starts as we take our adventure up to Ribblehead while celebrating Yorkshire Day and all things Yorkshire.
I have never experienced a day quite like it, but celebrating Yorkshire Day is high up there on my list f regular anniversaries. As you will probably know from my blog, I love Yorkshire, so I doubt it’ll be a challenge to so year on year.

It was only pretty recently that I discovered how close and easy it is to get to Yorkshire from Manchester! We have had many a fun day over in the white rose country and all easy to do on a day trip too – both in the car and by train. Certainly no excuse when you realise that you can be enjoying the Yorkshire countryside in under 30 minutes from the city centre!
What do you reckon to celebrating Yorkshire Day in such a fun way? Had you even heard of Yorkshire Day?
